Earth.line SKIN AGEING AND PIGMENTATION CAUSED BY UVA LIGHT

Sunlight consists of ultra-violet light (UVA and UVB), visible light and infrared light. UVA rays penetrate the skin more deeply than UVB rays. Regardless of the season, UVA rays are always present and are even strong enough to penetrate glass. The free radicals caused by these rays accelerate the ageing process by destroying the collagen and elastic fibres in the skin. It is these fibres which provide the skin with its firmness and elasticity. This damage becomes visible around the age of 40 but can be seen sooner if the skin has suffered excessive exposure to these harmful rays. Over time – there can also be an increase in the ageing of the skin as it no longer produces the pigment melanin on a regular basis. With this in mind, you are never too young to start protecting your skin from UVA rays.

All Earth·line & Sea·line creams now not only contain antioxidants but are also formulated with the right amount of UVA protection as well, so you can adequately protect your skin against ageing and pigmentation problems.
